2019 Black History Month Events and Dinner

The Black History Month Events and Dinner is one of the annual activities of the Africa Festival of Arts and Culture Society and the goal of the event is to remember, acknowledge and celebrate the rich history of African Canadians [and Nova Scotians].

The Event will include highlights of the history, the journey and accomplishments of African Canadians and Diasporas in politics, civic and cultural activities, a full course dinner, and performances by artists of African descent, including Master Drummer Amadou Kienou and the Djeli Sira group originally from Burkina Faso, now based in Toronto and Montreal, Master Dancer Mohammed Duranteau from Guinea and Wontanara Drum & Dance
